DIY Christmas Gifts: Gratitude Jars

This year I’m gifting my holiday baking in gratitude jars. They’re inexpensive, easy to make, totally personal, heartfelt, and I believe it’s something the receiver will genuinely enjoy using. Sounds like a pretty great gift!

What is a gratitude jar? Basically you take any jar you like, dress it up with your favourite ribbon and decorations, and throughout the year you fill the jar with notes of things that you are grateful for. It could be a beautiful sunrise, a vacation in paradise, a perfect date with your love, or anything at all that sets your soul on fire. On New Years Eve of the following year you open up your gratitude jar, read through all of the gratitude notes that you wrote and reflect on what an amazing year you had.

Supplies Needed:

  • Mason Jars
  • Labels
  • Black Sharpie
  • Twine
  • Raffia
  • Bows and Ribbons
  • Scissors
  • Enough of your favourite baked goods to fill the jars (Tip: If you run short on cookies put more raffia in the bottom of the jars to make them appear fuller)
