Ready to fool your taste buds? This healthy, whole-food smoothie tastes just like a chocolate milkshake (I.M.O.) and it’s dairy-free! Not to mention it’s bursting with minerals like magnesium, iron, chromium, zinc, and potassium; vitamins like B1, B6, and C; omega-3 healthy fats, and loads of fibre.
- 1 ripe banana
- 3 dates (pitted)
- 1 cup almond mylk (or your favourite nut mylk)
- 1 tbsp. raw cacao
- 1 tbsp. peanut butter (or your favourite nut butter)
- 1 tbsp. flax seeds
- Ice, to preference
Blend all ingredients until a smooth, frothy consistency is achieved. My banana wasn’t frozen so I used about 8 ice cubes. Adjust to your preference – I prefer mine a little thicker.
